Tea bowl 志野茶碗　銘「茜」

生涯を通して自らの理想とする志野焼を追い求めた加藤唐九郎は、黄瀬戸、信楽、織部、唐津などのさまざまな作品を手がけるなか、志野は唯一途切れることなく制作し続けた。

こちらの茶碗は、素地に鉄分を多く含む土が使われ、焼きによって引き出された緋色は、茜色に染まった夕暮れを彷彿とさせる。全体にあらわれた柚肌もまた見所である。
高台脇に「一ム」の彫銘。

He pursued to create his ideal Shino for his entire life, while he made other works such as Kiseto, Shigaraki, Oribe and Karatsu. The clay of this item contains plenty of iron, and the beautiful red color is like evening sky. Its skin is called Yuzu-Hada, Citron skin-like, which is one of view points. There is his inscription “一ム” near the foot.
