都を出て、縁もゆかりもない
美濃のひなへやって来て幾年かが経った。
わたしの造る茶わんは
あるいは他所者の造る茶わんと謂われるかもしれない。

伝統なる者のしがらみから遠く離れ
無縁であるからこそ、できるものがあるとしたら
そのようなものを
わたしは目指したい。

都からひなへ、そして再びひなから都へ。

子供時分、通いつめた思い出のこの場所で
この度、東京で初めての個展をさせていただきます。
ご高覧いただければ幸いです。

鈴木都

It has been some years since I left the urban city and came to Mino where I am completely a foreigner and a stranger. Tea bowls that I create might be regarded as of the stranger.
But I would rather eager to create something that only the stranger could do, whom completely away from the complex constraint of the traditional, if there are such things.
From urban to rural, and again from the rustic to Tokyo, here I came.
At the place I used to pay frequent visit in my childhood, my first exhibition in Tokyo will be held. I would appreciate it very much if you enjoy my works closely in the gallery.
