唐津の魅力を何かと考えた時、この原点回帰のような思いに至る。
素朴素朴という代名詞の唐津、だが、その深いところにある素の美しさを
どう表現するかで、好いものにも、つまらないものにもなる。
この綱渡りのような際どい仕事の中に、唐津の魅力が潜んでいるのか。
矢野唐津を見ていると、いつも、そんな感慨深い気持ちにさせられる。
The beauty of pottery...
Extremely natural and unadorned
There is nothing that can compare to its beauty.
When I think about the charm of Karatsu, I come up with this idea of going back to the basics.
Karatsu is synonymous with simplicity, but it can be either good or boring, depending on how the beauty of its deepest elements is expressed.
In this tightrope-walking work lies the charm of Karatsu, whenever I see the work by Yano, my deep emotion would always be stirred up.
