オンラインの展示会を初めて開催したのは2020年5月22日からでした。思い返してみれば新型コロナウイルス感染症(COVID-19)が猛威を振るい4月7日には緊急事態宣言を発出されていました。街からは人が消え、人と会うこともなくなり、世界から届く恐ろしい映像をテレビの画面で見る毎日に溜息ばかりが出ていました。5月25日には緊急事態解除宣言が発令されるもののまだまだ予断を許さない状況が続いておりました。どこまでも先行きの見えない不安を感じていたのは私だけでなかったと思います。しかしながら展示会図録をお送りしたと同時にホームページにも掲載したところ国内外から大変多くのお客様からのお問い合わせをいただいたのを覚えております。改めてお客様への感謝とそのような時にでも人の心を動かした魯山人先生をはじめとした美術の力を強く感じました。
「魯山人と古美術」も今回で3回目となります。本展示会では魯山人先生の優品に加え、古美術を合わせて展示いたします。古美術は歴史も長く幅も広く玉石混淆でまるで無限にあるかのようです。その中から選んだものは先生の作品を取り扱わせていただくことで培うことが出来た独特のフィルターだと言っても良いかも知れません。もし先生がご存命ならお気に召していただけるのではないかと勝手に思っております。
