かつて震度５強の地震に何度かみまわれて
二本立ちの煙突の片方がずれて
何故か左に捻れてグラついている
焚く度に酷くなる
もう百回以上の窯焚きでレンガの隙間も
何処といわず開いている
当然いままで幾度も手直しをして使っていたが
アーチ部分も含めて組み直しをせねば…と考えている
登り窯のなかでは物が置かれる場所により
酸化から還元まで焼成のグラデーションがあるので
その傾向の調整をする
物を作る意欲にもそれなりに影響するのだ

The Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred last year also affected Nagano prefecture where KOYAMA Tomonori resides. Since one of the two-pronged chimneys and bricks of the kiln became unstable because of the quake, it has required him to choose where to place pieces, in order to adjust the firing gradation of oxidation and reduction. However; he knows where the best places are, because he has deepened his understanding of Oribe through collecting pottery shards and researching literature. That is why his oribe works are authentic, which you cannot miss.
