近年日本の「工芸」はこれまでの伝統的な技術・歴史の継承と同時に、新たな作家性・技法の革新が進み「KOGEI」として世界からも注目される美術分野として発展しています。
今回の展示会では『NEW TWIST』と題し、陶芸・金工・漆芸の分野から新たな工芸の展開を期待させるような作家4人の作品をご紹介します。

In recent years, Japanese “crafts” have evolved into an art field gaining global attention as “KOGEI,” driven by the advancement of new artistic expression and innovative techniques alongside the continued inheritance of traditional skills and history.
This exhibition, titled ‘NEW TWIST,’ presents works by four artists in the fields of ceramics, metalwork, and lacquerware whose creations promise exciting new developments in craft.
