志野茶碗

桃山時代に生み出された白い焼きものである志野は、その美しさが世界でも評価されています。志野は長時間かけてゆっくり焼き上げ、高温になりすぎないため焼き締められすぎず柔らかい質感を残し好まれるところでもあります。こちらの志野茶碗は、素地にたっぷりと長石釉が白くかかり、釉の薄くなった口縁や見込み、高台付近にほのかに緋色が見られ、釉下に掛けられた大胆な鉄絵が、その白さをいっそう惹きたてています。手にしたとき掌に暖かく馴染み、口をつけたときの柔らかい感覚、やや赤みをおびた緋色は人肌のようで、指跡や造形と相まって何とも言えない魅力がございます。

Shino is fired in a kiln for a long time at medium-high temperature, which left the clay not firmly formed, and the glaze has soft feelings. This item is thickly glazed with feldspar white glaze over it, you can see the red color at the mouth, inside, and the bottom of the chawan where the glaze becomes thin. The gorgeous iron painting under the glaze makes the white surface more vivid. The chawan gives comfortable feeling in your hands, gentle feeling at your mouth. It has rutilant surface like human skin, the finger marks and form makes it so beautiful.
