Tokuri 斑徳利

親しみやすさを感じる柔らかな丸みを持った徳利。
力強い土の膨らみの上には、複雑に変化した斑釉がたっぷりと掛かる。

美しく淡い碧色は瓶覗色(かめのぞきいろ)。
瓶覗き色とは、藍瓶に張られた水に空が映り、それを人が覗き見たという説がある。

風に舞う紅葉の黄色までも一緒に映り込んだような、甘く和やかな空気感が漂う作品となっている。

Comfortable-looking round Tokkuri with thick elaborately changed Madara glaze. The beautiful pale blue is called “Kamenozoki-iro”, looking-into-a-vase-color, in traditional Japanese color name, which is said people like to look in to a vase to see the sky reflected on the water. You may feel the colors of autumn leaves in the blue, sweet and peaceful mood.
