KAZUKI Yasuo　Watching stars 香月泰男　星を観るもの

香月先生の代表作に従軍と抑留された戦争経験をもとに描かれたシベリアシリーズがある。その中に「青の太陽」という星空が描かれている作品がある。
匍匐前進をしている時に見つけた蟻の巣。
その地中から見える青い空には昼でも星が見えると言う。
本作には夜の星空が描かれている。
キャンパスに独特の黄土色と黒色が塗られた後にさんざめく満天の星空を望遠鏡で覗く人が描かれている。
夢があって優しい星空がここにある。

One of Mr. KAZUKI’s representative works is the Siberian series, which is based on his war service and internment experience. The work named “Blue Sun,” depicts a starry sky. A nest of ants that he found while crawling. He said that he could see stars in the blue sky from the ground, even in the daytime. In this work, the starry sky at night is drawn. In this work, there is a starry night sky or a person looking through a telescope at the starry sky after the campus is painted with a unique ochre and black.
